The Valentines Day Post

Yes, I'm gonna post about Valentines Day. No, this post is not gonna be full of chocolates, and flowers, jewelry, and stuffed animals. I detest this over-rated commercialized holiday. It's not because I'm not in love.

It's the exact opposite actually. Don is my closest and truest friend, and he's the love of my life. Life is crazy hectic for us most of the time. My absolute favorite part of the day is when me and him become us. That time is when we get the kids in bed and head off to bed ourselves. We love and laugh and dream there. And when it's quiet, there's no pressure to fill it. That's my idea of perfect - not getting dressed up (boo for bras) and spend alot of money at a fancy eatin place full of hopeless romantic where the food isn't even good (can I get a hell yea for Arby's???)

I mean NO OFFENSE to anyone who chooses to celebrate this way; it's just not my thing. I'm a simple girl and I love our simple life. I believe if you truly love someone, you shouldnt choose one day a year to do the little things that you should do all throughout the year.

When he asked what I wanted to do today I had a simple answer, "The season premier of Swamp People is coming on!"

So we he made homemade pizza because I SUCK at the crust. (That's love in real life!) and he's putting together my new nightstands because I was like a kid on Christmas when the UPS guy showed up. We're getting ready to wind down and head off to bed in a little while...that's when the good stuff starts.

It's the little things yall and I am one lucky girl!
